    Talking update

    Hi all
    Update so far:
W2A CAC mount, 3mm aluminium and mount to 2 bolts on the LHS of the rocker cover where the original cross over tube mounts and a 10mm bolt on the RHS where the crankcase vent tube is secured:

The radiator was a challenge… New lower mount folded up and picks up two 10mm holes on the chassis rails:

New folded up top mount picks up the original cross mount holes in the guards:

Coolant pump mounts to the bottom radiator mount (also shows the new side panels):

Plumbed up 2x19mm hoses and a 6mm vent line between radiator & CAC, CAC in and out temps and a turbosmart boost controller. The 6mm silicone hose was a pain to find clamps for, ended up using norma cobra clamps (had to also buy the propriety pliers which Ill also use when I build the hot water system in the camper). Boost hose clamps are Murray clamps.

    Wiring:
Fan relay is triggered from the reverse light oil pressure switch (+) and earthed through switch in O/H console so I can switch the fan off if required (water crossings). Pump comes on with ignition switch.

So how does it go? Prior to fitting the CAC up my test hill:
Boost P = 13psi (max I could get from a supposedly 22 psi blue spring)
    Boost T = 90 deg c
EGT = 650 (probe is before turbine)

    Now:
    Boost P = 18
    T before CAC = 96 deg c
    T after CAC = 34 deg c
    EGT = 500

Will do some more tuning once I get the bonnet sorted. I tried a standard ford BA 3" fibreglass bonnet bulge but will need to go to a ford FG 4".

I've sourced some locking AeroCatch 4100 for the bonnet latches.

    Thanks
    Bob

    Gunna need a bigger bonnet

    Nice job.
Surprising how much difference it makes to EGT with just a 60deg reduction from the I/C.
I guess the bottom line is the reduced inlet temp means higher density == lower EGT.

I may have missed it earlier in the thread as I'm only viewing on my phone, but was there a model number for the powercore filter?

    update

    Hi all

Finally finished the bonnet. Lot more work then I expected as the 4" FG bonnet bulge wasn't going to work.

Used a 3" ford bonnet bulge and lengthened the sides so I could then cut it in to the bonnet and accommodate the rise in the perentie bonnet.

Paint is concept black acrylic with a flattening agent which gives a satin finish.

Hinges are SS Defender hinges from dirk groening (no more rattle and cracked hinge bushes) and catches are Aerocatch 120-4100 heavy duty lockable catches.

The part number for the donalson powercore is D0900114.
