Not going to be a daily driver this one, so longevity is not an issue. My Rodeo is a daily so don’t want to push it much more by continuing to drag it. So the Landy is going to be the 1/4mile garden shed. Really looking at going into the upper end of performance out of it. From experience with the smaller 2.8, getting 1000nm 300+hp out of the 3.9 seems quite achievable with enough fueling (sort of what I need to achieve to make it worthwhile going to the 4bd1 over the 2.8 4jb1). From what I gather from some of the 4bTswaps forums a lot of the higher end setups have stock internal engines. What do you see as weak link, rods or crank? . The crank in the 4jb1 was always a weak link, significantly smaller than what the 4bd1 runs.
