    Hi all

Jus staring to get some planning in place. I have a 300tdi 110 and have a 4bd1T and gearbox organised for it.

Also have engine mounts from rijidij but am chasing a flywheel.

After recommendations on who to get to do the conversion in Vic?

Might be a few but I know Les Richmond Automotive would, but hope you have deep pockets. Their work is exceptional but you pay for it. - Les Richmond Automotive

Flick a PM to Dave ( Blknight.aus) If he won't do it, he might know someone who will.

I have to echo Incisor, don't get me wrong I love my Isuzu County but that's an awful amount of work. If you do go ahead with this would you be interested in selling the engine and other bits you remove in the conversion. My son has a V8 County that we are chasing a diesel for.

    Cheers,

haha Im assuming the "why would you " is a joke....?

Reasons being that its a fairly straight forward conversion is it not, a couple of people i know have done it but they had the knowledge and time to mostly complete themselves.

We tow a camper and boat and yes i do like my 300 but towing this off road and loaded would be a lot better with the 4bd1t...

The 300 will eventually go in my 200 tray back.

What am i missing re the conversion to make it an awful amount of work? i.e. is it a lot more than converting a v8 to a 300...? I haven't done this before so specifics would help a great deal....
    Thanks

If you have all the bits its mostly a bolt in job, I love the 300 but for towing they are lacking.
Plenty have done it should be lots of info about.

I suppose I'm looking at if from the perspective of its not going to be a 5 minute job but rather a few days and $$$. Anything is possible really, a Cummins conversion is another option but that opens up a can of worms from the extra weight over the front axle perspective.
