? can anyone decipher the stamped code on a Century battery N70ZZLX MF 810CCA, the code is 08CK Q I bought the battery in 2016, I have looked on the net and did try to contact Century direct for an explanation but for some reason my enquiry will not send (some b/s about domain name email??? which I don't understand), I need to know about the build date as I don't want to buy a battery that was made years ago and has sat on a shelf any help appreciated cheers dennis ps No I'm not making a claim against the company who sold me the battery, I just want to know so I don't buy a ? dud,,.
From what I understand, the first part of the code should be a letter - D, A or N - which is day, afternoon or night shift, second is the day of the month, the first letter, the month, and the last letter the year. Year codes started at A in 2007, B in 2008, etc. If my Math is correct then K is 2017. Q means it's passed quality control.
Could the O be a D? Not sure if this still applies to the newer batteries but that's how it used to be.
If it's a D, then D - Day shift, 8 - 8th day, C - of March, K - 2017. But you saying you bought the battery in 2016 doesn't line up here so things may have changed.
EDIT - The letter 'I' may have been skipped in the year code to avoid confusion by the looks of it, so that would make it a March 2016 battery that being the case.
Cheers.
