In the 110s the Isuzu had a higher high range in the transfer, 0.996:1 IIRC
I assume the SIII Stage 1 had the same gearing.
As for it all bolting it all together, I don't know, but I would assume a different clutch at least.

Hi all,
I've got a 1981 Series 3 Stage 1 with the 3.5L Rover V8 and LT95.
I've just come into a brand new 4BD1 with bell-housing out of a Land Rover Perentie and wanted to confirm that it will bolt straight onto my existing LT95. As far as I can see, the LT95A out of the Perentie is identical externally with modified internal components?
Wanted to check in with you all to see if there is anything I need to take into consideration for the swap and whether or not the 4BD1 with bell-housing will bolt straight on.
As far as I can see, the bulk of swap will be;
- New Engine Mounts for the 4BD1
- Modified Fuel Lines & Wiring
Appreciate all your help in advance.
Cheers

As above. I think you will have to change the engine mounts, but I'm not sure.

So it has the isuzu lt95 bellhousing? Not to be confused with the isuzu flywheel housing?
Quite a few things to change. Engine mounts, exhaust, gearbox bell housing, clutch throwout bearing and pushrod, hi range gears possibly (unless the box came from a Hi comp RR around '82-'84) and possibly the speedo gears and handbrake setup. Best to use a TRB intermediate shaft setup if you can get hold of one. Presumably the engine will come with the correct flywheel, flywheel housing and clutch setup. The clutch plate itself is almost identical to the V8 one but has stronger anto rattle springs. You will also need the correct aircleaner and radiator and shroud for the Isuzu. The accellerator cable and clutch slave will bolt straight up.

You might get all the necessary parts from KLR Automotive.
Maybe you need this: 4BD1 Engine Mount Bracket, LH - KLR Automotive
I think KLR did have engine mounts for that conversion. I could be wrong. Ring ask Brad.
