Regarding the linkage, that was just the way it worked out when I laid the cables out etc. no big deal.
It is standard NPR linkage that came with the box.
I sold it cheaply during covid to a bloke that knew nothing about Land Rovers at all. He liked the noise the airhorn made
I heard he broke something and is or was trying to sell it.

Some measurements of the essential part of the shift mechanism. You may be able to adapt this into other arrangements. Seems to give a larger view if your click on the image rather than hover and wait for the view that is somewhat smaller.
