Isuzu intercooler

I've intercooled mine, BIG frontmount. I have no before and after figures, but after a long hard climb, I can barely touch the turbo outlet pipe into the IC, and the outlet to the manifold is cool to the touch. I would say it is doing its job. I'm running 15psi at the manifold.
After I replace the trans, I'll try and do a dyno run for interests sake.
And yes, anything less than 10Psi it is debateable as to whether it is worthwhile.

What're you doing to the trans and how do you dyno them (2wheel, 4 wheel etc)?

There are at least 3 turbos.

IHI RHB6. Wastegated, top mount
Garrett T25 wastegated.
Garrett T25 free floating with T3 mounting flange.

I am on my 4th set of transfer case thrust washers, after about 30,000km!(LT95):(

I have recently bought an Ex Mil 6X6 LT95, with taper roller TF case etc, and this is going in shortly.

Local TAFE has a 4 wheel dyno, I'm offering the truck for a night course dyno run if they are interested...:twisted::twisted:

Justin, old thread i know, but any pics of your new top mount intercooler????? Interested to see what you've done, i can't fit a front mount and don't want a water to air

not a real good photo mate but it is 450 x 450 x 75 and does a good job although mounting it to the motor is not a good idea. Body mount is better.Attachment 43051

Is that core size or overall? I have one here thats 450x300x75 core size, but boy it takes up a lot of room. Hoping to find something factory for ease of parts

A lot of japanese vans (incl prados and 200 cruisers) run a top-mount which is fed air by ducts under the bonnet which lead towards the grille. Could be worth a look at.
