    Help!!! Its snowing here.

    Hello folks,
l've got a 1986 130 fitted with a 4BD1T which is probably about the same age, though l'm not sure. l've got a little oil pressure problem at the moment on start up. So l'm after an oil pump or rebuild kit.
The trouble is finding spares for the engine over here in England.
So, does anyone know of someone or a garage/parts supplier in Australia who might be able to help me out.
    Cheers

Did they sell Isuzu NPR delivery trucks over there?
The best source for parts is usually your Isuzu truck parts dealer.

Isuzu now own Bedford trucks so go to your local dealer. Should be one in every two pub village in UK.

By the way, do you have the single upside down oil filter? Mine has a spin-on type one and I fitted on oil filter to it once that didn't have an anti-drain back valve so oil drains out of the filter over night and the pump has to fill the filter before the gauge would read. I swapped it for a better quality filter and the problem went away.

Interestingly the worst filters I had for that were FRAM.
I've since gone back to Ryco and have no issues. My filters hang downwards but are mounted remotely using hoses.

If they hang down then only the line could drain back the filters would stay full.

Yes I think that's what happened. But the filter drainback valve if working would stop it as the oil had to flow through the filters to drain the lines.

    The snows gone.

    Afternoon campers!
Spent the morning on the phone for engine spares. No luck.
l spoke to a local truck spares dealer whom l got a thermostat
from a while back, very helpful but could'nt help.
So l phoned lsuzu truck UK, and guess what they put me back
in touch with the first lot.
Anyway, its got twin spin on filters, all the usual checks have
been made, and it still leads to the oil pump.
Where would you good old boys get spares for an engine rebuild?

Good old boys??? We are in Australia, not the US...

I get my parts either from here: Brisbane - directory - listing : Don Kyatt Spare Parts (Qld) Pty Ltd - ourbrisbane.com OR from one of the isuzu parts places.

The Isuzu 4BD1 engine family are commonly used as an industrial and marine engine, compressors, gen. sets, small craft, marine auxiliaries, etc. Is there an Isuzu industrial engine dealer somewhere in fish and chips land? Maybe ask a large industrial /marine engine dealer for a source, otherwise mail order and credit card. No problem getting bits here on Oz. Filters are available as generic lines from Fleetguard, Donaldson, Ryco, Fram and so on. Brisbane Isuzu are good, as are Zenith Engineering. Zenith are the industrial engine dealer. Look for them on whitepages.com.au - Search for an Australian Business, Government or Person
