Your county should have a Nippondenso 40A alternator with an external regulator. This is a different setup to the military perentie which has the Hitachi LR170-401 12V 70A internally regulated alternator. Even the mount will be different. The Isuzu part number for the 70A one is 8941754481 and the mount is 8941004510. I don't know whether the alternator is still available new but you will need to be seated when you get a price if it is! Some years ago they were about A$1400. OEX and other brands are available a lot cheaper even some Nissan patrol ones will fit. Check on the FB pages, there should be some mounts around from dead motors from the auctions.

That is an insane price. I can get a hitachi 12v 70a for about 10% of that. Think I should switch to it?

I'll see whether it's genuine or not (will get it monday or tuesday) and if so will get another for you.

    Fuel Sender & Gauge

I recently needed a fuel sender to suit a 6x6 Civilian which I was told was the same as a Perentie 4x4 & 6x6. I was told that they are not available any more.
So found on the net the Gauge Shop in Sydney. You can buy a tubular sender to whatever length you want. In my case 340.mm plus a gauge to suit all VDO.
You can fit the sender into the existing hole in the tank with a slight reduction of the diameter of the top of the sender. Sender part no.:224011000034G. Gauge part number :301010009

recently did my alternator front bearing, as I had a loud whirring noise at idle.
    6303-2RS
Repco have them for 18 bucks, on ebay for 10 if you can wait...
    nachi original is 6303NSE

If anyone knows the rear bearing and oil seal part numbers I would be interested to know.
It's smaller and you have to pull out the oil seal to change it...

Andrew, the rear bearing is 6202LU and the seal is an Isuzu part number 8941565890 ( it is made by NOK and the number is BZ2501E). It is a special seal - looks like 2 seals pressed into each other.

Ben, if you're looking for hand primer, the p/n is 8941311300. But if it's the entire primer/lift pump assembly, then it is 8941327070.
