After travelling a few times in a mates Isuzu 110, then my first 300Tdi 110 Defender, I was shocked at how rough and Jap like the non leveller versions were. (OK, so maybe Jap like is a bit harsh...)
I am running army 6X6 front springs and army RFSV twin rear springs in my Suzi dualcab. I only use the secondary rear spring when I load up for a trip - otherwise its too harsh. No load leveller - discarded it years ago.
It’s a factory vacuum reservoir. Used to power the dash/ windscreen and floor vent flaps, and the fresh/ rec air flaps associated with the A/C and heater. It will be definitely leaking where you have taken photos. It may also be leaking at the rubber connection behind the AC/ heater control panel on the dash. Very expensive to buy new. I fixed mine by using rubber tubing that is used as fuel lines on petrol powered RC model aircraft. Worked for 13 years before I ripped it all out and replaced it with a later model defender dash. Now I don’t need the vacuum apart from the brakes and Maxi drive diff lock.
not if the vehicle was originally a v8............
