As with any older Landrover, condition is the most important factor in price. With the Stage 1, the unique bits (mainly front axle) will set an absolute minimum, as they are in demand for conversion of Series to four wheel drive, and this minimum is probably getting up towards $700. I agree with Rangier that it is probably a minimum of $1200 if complete and not too rusty. To reach $3000 though I think the engine would need to do more than just run, and I am not sure it would go that high if the gearbox has serious problems.
If it is a station wagon, this would probably add about $1000 over a hardtop or trayback, unless it is an absolute dog.
