I had problems with mine...had auto leccy run straight from alternator...all nice and tidy and I can find everything if needed...don't know if it will cause any drama's...but for $30..I'm happy...

Thanks for the replies fellas, my solenoid is actually a reasonably new unit imported from Singapore (info from this forum), but I've a feeling it may be the associated wiring!. At any rate, I'm not taking the risk, with the size and frequency of lizards seen 'round here lately!!, I don't want to be left marooned on the roof.
The last two days have been spent scouring wreckers and rare Pommie part shops for a manual choke cable for a Rover P6B. Choke cables ain't real common, but they're more common than Rover P6B's!, should see some of the looks I'm getting!. Hey Justin, you reckon I should try TRS in Adelaide?.

What about a hand throttle cable off of a **Cough Toyota 40 series** Did I just say that

Hi Gerry, why didn't you ask?? I think I still have another one, I have 3 p6b's out the back of work at the moment, 2 V8 manual S's too:cool:
Or you could just use an early carby RR choke cable, I have a few of those too if you want me to send one up?
