Is there an Australian distributor?
Is it feasible to use one of the older under dash retrofit type units mounted to the roof and some sort of ducted system?
Need to consider refrig pipe runs and drain route

I thought that too, that all Isuzu-engined LRs had 'Z' as the 8th digit, but I don't believe this was the case with the 3.9D (Stage One). Two I have seen have had 'V' (V8) in the VIN which were genuine factory Isuzu. In fact one tray I looked at according to the VIN was a wagon (7th digit 'M' instead of 'A') with even the '1' (9th digit) meaning RHD 4 speed manual being stamped 'I' (this error was repeated on the Compliance Plate).
Can anyone else who has a 3.9D (Stage One) confirm the above?
The CALVIN decoder I have found is not 100% accurate.

Interesting, thanks for that Rob.
Maybe they didn't start with the 'Z' code until the 110's then? Or I wonder if the CKD kits that were built into Australian Stage One's actually came out complete with a V8 motor that was then replaced by LRA with the Isuzu?
There's another VIN decoder, here: Land Rover VIN Checker
However, I find the Clifton one (CALVIN) more accurate. The Disgruntled Goat one tells me my 110 is a Range Rover Classic! :D

Webasto list distributors on their site. I emailed some of them to get the quote............. Distributors
As far as I can tell, the Webasto units are an all in one unit, they don't need to be plumbed to anything................A/C system Compact Cooler 5

I bought a TD5 aircon system. Probably not as good as these units - but less expensive and draw less amps.
When fitting I was going to modify it to fit some pipe work up through the existing heater channeling to send cold air to vents either side of the car radio or under the radio (defender angle style fitted radio). A bit similar to how heater pipe work delivers warm air to windscreen vents.
