    Another New Isuzu 110 Thread :D :D

    Recently joined the Isuzu owners

Finally worked out how to get the pics of my phone.. I've got to say - this is the Land Rover I've always dreamed of. Its perfect (in a 20yo+ Land Rover kind of way ) and will be a great foundation for 'Projekt my ultimate LR'

Surprisingly Projekt my ultimate LR doesn't mean a 3 foot lift and 40inch tyres.. but it does mean the best possible reliability, a bullet proof gear box, Turbo + IC some interior mods and a roof tend

I had a a couple of weeks and so far we been through Wollemi, Blue Mountains, Upper Colo, Royal National Park (well this was mostly walking.. but there was about 2km of dirt driving ) and a trip to Canberra and back (taking a little break along the way to er.. replace all the belts that were chewed when the A/C pully gave up.... I'm so happy my Girl was understanding )

First and most important accessory was the National Parks All Parks Pass

    congratulations.

Being a 20 yr old vehicle (like all vehicles of this age who have been subjected to rougher than usual handling) there will be consumables to replace to get the best driving experience. As you have indicated a turbo will improve the driving experience.

Going by the capping you probably have a 4 speed, which probably stands up to the 4BD1 better than a 5 speed (unless it had a maxi drive upgrade).

    Good luck.

Looks like a clean example well done. I purchased mine as a project but I can't stop driving it I've already clocked up 28,000 kilometres too.

I have a few plans for mine in the future, but it will have to wait till I finish building the house

    bit of an update

I've got an R380, getting ready to drop in it (currently its got the LT85). I thought a lot about a done up LT95 and the Isuzu options but the R380 I think is the best of both worlds as I plan to do a bit of touring in it as well as the dirt stuff.. call me soft but would miss 5th gear if it was gone!

Also picked up some disco rims, which will be painted black (to keep with the black and white theme).

Before I bought it, it had done a lot of sitting around for many years, and it really shows.. a few thousand km's down everything is starting to settle in again and it drives a lot better than it did before. Gotta be happy with that.

Now if only you lot would stop talking about turbo's I'd be able to focus on my original plan of rebuilding the steering next..
