    PM's soon.

Just trying to schedule things - including having to hire some staff.

With the hired staff I want to load them up with work to keep them about to give me more time to design some more stuff for our much loved vehicles - including finishing off this new shift kit.

So plan is to take on service work, fitting accessories, spare parts etc even for (dare I say it) non-landrover vehicles.

Win/win for all - a more consistent availability of adapters for customers and job's for some people. And hopefully some value for money service and more functional upgrades for our toys/tourers.

Anyone looking for job on the sunny coast? Not sure if that goes against the rules of this forum or not

Sounds good! I need to get an adaptor kit one of these days - only problem is the LT85 shows no sign of deteriorating (touch wood) - despite killing an LT230Q...

Hi. I'm new to aulro. This is my third attempt to post to this thread - system seems to log me out by the time I've finished typing. So in a nutshell to the_grubb, I'm also interested in the MSA to LT230 adapter and the gear lever mechanism. Cheers. Rod.

    Newby.

Ok, So I've been a member and been reading the forum for ages, finally, I feel I should say G'day!

I'm from Adelaide and have a repair shop here, Land Rovers Only! I'm sure a few will gues who I am...

    I have a Project on the go, a 101 4BD1T conversion/re-build/camper.

I Have a question, in fact a few for "The Grub".
Not sure if this is how i go about contacting you, as i said I've only ever been reading, uptill now.

I'm using a 93 truck turbo engine, which I have the bell housing Flywheel and clutch for, i'm currently looking around for an MSA box.

I'd decided that the 5"R" ratio's were for me, however, I spoke to few wrecking yards, who informed me that the gearbox would normally be behind the OHC engine and therefore the gearbox bell housing is different because the cam gears are also in the engine bellhousing and the starter bolts in from the rear.
Can you confirm this to be the case?

If so i'm possibly going to have to settle for the 5"G" box.

The Puma Defenders have the transfer case canted round slightly on the back of the gearbox, I'm keen to investigate the possibility of doing this as the prop angles on the 101 are somwhat agressive, so if i could get the t box lower, without tilting the whole engine and trans, it would be good, also introduces the possibility of moving the whole engine in a few mm from the perfectly flat chassis rail.

So, my next question... Are you still in posssesion of any welded housing adaptors, not yet welded up and do you think these could be rotated slightly in their alighnment?
I'd only need the adaptor as i'm going with the cable changer, for obvious reasons. What Cost would the adaptor be?
If not any other input would be appreciated, I do have access to a good engineering guy, if your enable to supply, but happy to impart drawings. Not wishing to offend, but I realise this is a bit of a one off and understand how much work goes into these things.

I'm happy to give you a call if that's easier.

Anyhow, enough from me for a first visit.

    Go the Isuzu!
    Regards
    Peter

To fit a 4h series box to a 4b engine you just change the bellhousing to the 4b type.

Sheldon doesn't get on here much, which is a shame, you really need to phone him.

Thanks for the info Damien. I believe I've already used all the options on Sheldon's profile in attempts to contact him. Just had another look in case I missed anything. Do you know if he has a business name?
