After making my modified version of your earlier model I then turned my attention to installing the hi/low/diff lock level.
It occurred to me that maybe the gear lever mechanism could just be a larger model of the hi/low/diff lock, slightly modified.
The current gear shift mechanism puts most of the strength, wear and balance for the shaft on the drivers side of the gear stick.
The box enclosure of the hi/low/diff lock would provide support on both sides of the gearshift shaft, providing better balance and more even wear.
Regarding specifications, I was interested in how far along are you in making a spud shaft that fits on the MSA output shaft and terminates in the 32 male spline. And how far along are you in making the 32 female spline input gear to match. I thought others would be interested, if just for seeing it :)
