how much?
Well thought it was about time someone did this so might as well be me....
For anyone interested, I am making some adaptors for the 5 speed Isuzu Gearbox to be mated to the LT230.
The housing is designed and will be ordering material this week. Working on three different options for the shaft and finalising the gear shift assembly.
Initially am making up a kit to put the Isuzu Box in place of both the LT85 or LT95 in the 110 Isuzu keeping both the engine and transfer case in their original positions. Low range and diff lock levers will mount in the same position as per for the LT85.
So also making some adaptor rings to mate the bell housing of the Isuzu box to the Landrover 4BD1 flywheel housing and this will in fact keep the Isuzu Box at the same location as to if the box was mated to the 4BD1 with the truck flywheel housing.
After doing in the LT85 in my 110 last year and speaking to Dougal have been meaning to do this for awhile now.
how much?

Probably two if the price is right.
URSUSMAJOR
As a straight bolt in replacement, right now (with no unforeseen issues) around $2500
Will include;
Rover Flywheel Housing to Isuzu Gearbox adaptor ring
Isuzu Gearbox to LT230 Housing and Input Shaft
Main Box Shift Lever Assembly (which incorporates Hi/Lo Lever mounting provision)
All nuts and bolts
Additional parts required would be;
Isuzu Gearbox (obviously) with matching clutch
Hi/Lo Lever (ie. Unbolt from LT85 and bolt straight on)
Passenger Side Gearbox mount (ie. Unbolt from LT85)
The main housing will have laser cut end plates, welded each end to a large tube and a stiffener/mount running along the passenger bottom side. There will be a seal in the same position as per the original Isuzu gearbox on the output shaft of the gearbox, keeping everything simple and oil out of the tube.
Still have a few things that need finalizing. Mainly the gear shift assembly, which I want to give a good testing in vehicle.
what if you already have the isuzu flywheel housing?
