Ok an up date.
All bushes have now been changed out, this improved things a bit but the problem was still there.
A couple of weeks ago I bent the tie rod big time, ( good to have a high lift jack)
So grabbed the stronger ones from Ebay $ 300 bucks with ball joints.
Now the problem is solved. She still sways a bit but there is no movement in the steering like before.
Should be 2mm toe out.:)
my book says 3/8, up to, toe in
I can say with complete honesty that you will hate the way they handle with that much toe-in.
I accidentally ran 7mm for a while, it swam all over the road. Whichever tyre had more load would push the vehicle the other way, it makes for steering that needs constant correction.
I'm happy with mine running 1-2mm toe-in. I've never liked the way toe-out felt.
