    Handling

ok, the steering is done as are the ball joints, now shes like driving a new car, BUT.
she drives like she is a bit top heavy, a little bit of turn in and then you feel as if you have to push back a bit. almost as if there is to much toe in. it isnt like a lose back end

    checked the alignment
    all the bushes seem ok

    now bulstines on the rear
    some red shocks up front
std county springs front std 110 rear
    no swaybars

    any idears??

i may be tall but not that tall.

the problem has always been there but now its more pronounced with all the slack taken out of the steering. it almost feels as if the first 3 deg left and right as if its just siting there or flopping left and right

You say you have checked the alignment, where is the toe set to?

It is difficult to say from the description - but for a start, as Dougal says - are you certain there is no free play in any of the rear suspension bushes?

If the self leveller is in place, there is a possibility that it could give this effect without the sway bar, even if it is not working properly.

it was 2mm toe out, now it parallel.
with the 2mm toe out it tracked or wanted to clime a bit, more so under brakes. this problem was there before just its more noticeable now that the steering is tight

all the bushes check out OK, it dont deal like a geometry change or like over steer from the rear.

the load leveler is a point, i could say that it feels that its sitting on a higher center point rather than the springs however the rear floats and the ride is good and the load leveler will jack the rear up when loaded. i know what that feels like so i think we can eliminate that but i will check it out tomorrow.

i feels like to much toe in where you turn in and it wants to keep turning in. it was there before i changed bits just that now its like the last problem it was also there with the 33s but it seems worse with the 31s.

i am leaning towards swapping out the front shocks as i dont know the brand or history of the current ones, if any one could recommend some. maybe some thing a bit stiffer but a bit more travel even??

you say the bushes seem ok....

IMHO if you have replaced some bushes - you may have needed to replace them all

as others have said, the "A" frame joint may be suspect but I would also replace the trailing arm bushes (both ends) from the symptoms you describe

also - I thought all countys had the rear swaybar ?

FWIW, IME, replacing the bushes throughout (even if them "seem" OK) will improve things
