    Angry Isuzu engine mounts

Holy mother of over priced engine mounts Bat man.Have had to,for a roadworthy, replace the engine mounts.Nearly choked when I got the price.About $100 a mount. What a rort that is,when the petrol motor mounts are only $12 a mount. The only up side is they will,or better not need replacing for a long time. Most of the land rover/range rover stuff I`ve needed so far has not been too bad on price. But these mounts have put a fair hole in the budget.

All Isuzu parts are pretty horrendous - fortunately, you don't need many!

For what it is worth, Hilux mounts are very close, if not interchangeable (small difference in the slotted mounting holes, which can be modified).

Tell me about it! ~$90 for a thermostat and o-ring from an Isuzu stealer in Perth.

Compare that to a complete rocker cover assembly (with acoustic cover and all seals) for ~$250.

Got them from a land rover/range rover parts supplier.Bloke has a work from home business.Have got them fitted now and thankfully they have made a difference .Has tamed the shake rattle and roll at idle.Still a bit of vibration, but heaps better, can live with it no problems.

If you haven't done so already, increasing the idle speed helps, and is beneficial for the gearbox as well.

It`s already idling at what I would believe to be a fairly high speed now. Will eventually be fitting a taco and then I will know for sure what it`s revs are.

But aren't the Isuzu engine mounts and the LR mounts different?

I thought that if you have a factory Isuzu County (and not a conversion) you have to buy the LR mounts, anyone got a definative on this one?
