    Engine noise through snorkel

    Okay

The stainless steel snorkel is now fitted solidly to the A Pillar and the wing with a flexible hose connected just under the wing across to the air cleaner.
Cruising across to the LROCV meeting last night with the window down I noticed that there was a fair amount of engine noise ( yeah yeah , I know it's an Isuzu ) coming from the snorkel.
Is this just noise transfer via the flex hose from within the engine bay or intake noise from the air cleaner ?

Be intake induction noise. The fours make a bit of a pulse drone but shouldn't be that bad unless the intake is literally at the window.

There's a solution to that problem.
    It's called a turbo.

It's the solution to a whole lot of 4BD1 problems.

    Correct Bob

Sorry I missed you guys Thurs night

I did say bye right at the end

I had to give someone club bbq's and a fellow member a lift home.

Really keen for you and Murrray to give it the once over and ge4 your expert opinions.

Before I sink a fair bit more cash in ( probs total around $ 15k incl initial pourchase ) to get it to where I want it , I need to speak to you both to see (don't strike me down oh great Isuzu god) whether I get the Suze up to scratch via turbo and maxidrives and ac and noise insulation etc etc or get into a good 110 300tDi and work on getting Murrays suggested turbo and intercooler upgrades etc done.

    Pete

Was busy night that night; will catch up soon.
Murray & I had a bit of a sticky beak at the County before we snuck into the meeting just as it started. Snorkel looks excellent.
