    LT95 Bellhousing Question

Found a 74 2 door rangie today fitted with a 4BB1 Isuzu engine and LT95 transmission, not sure if it is a truck or industrial engine. How do you tell the difference?
My question concerns the bellhousing fitted to the LT95 to mate it to the Isuzu, are they easy to come by and what would purchase price be, also is the bolt pattern the same as the 4BD1
The vehicle is for sale, not registered and is in generally poor condition.

its the same engine in either case but with different ancillaries, manifolds and injector pumps.

the bellhousing to mate the 95 to the 3.9 is not common but its not rocking horse poo by any means.

my suggestion would be to adapt the mating plate and ring gear housing from the 4bb1 to suit the 4bd1 from memory they have the same or near enough to the same casting shape at the back end.

    Mocky,

Ba careful some of the early Isuzu converted RRC's had an adapter plate from V8 bellhousing to Isuzu, not a complete bellhousing. They also used a extended spigot adapter etc and was IMHO a dodgy affair. I know of 2 like this, both early 2 doors.

if it s long and the lines on it are pretty straight its the lt95 that normally lives behind the diesel. if its got a rounder shorter domed shape its the v8 type.

The bellhousings are getting harder to find and the one I bought I paid $880.00. Luckily I sold my LT85 housing & recovered 3/4 of the cost.
But its the kind of thing thats only going to sell if someone is doing a conversion so you might have it a while.

The seller want's $2000 for the vehicle.
As i stated in my first post the vehicle is very rough and said it was running when parked up.
I was basically only interested in the bellhousing.
He has 2 other 2 door rangies and some series 1 bonnets and some other series 1 panels also a 88 inch series 2A pick up which he is asking $200 so i might grab it for a project later (no engine and loots of rust but chassis not too bad).
