Thread: Waterpump part number

Eric, try this number, 8944398521, this is the one with the grease nipple........Brian

A part no I have noted from somewhere is 894 376 8550.

I went through this over the last couple of months. I quoted this number to the mechanic. I will check if this was the part number in the end. There was a bit of a stuff up with the model of water pump delivered.

Anyhow the part cost $216.70 incl GST. It is the sealed bearing type not the type with the grease nipple Brian mentioned. I always found it a pain getting to that grease nipple. I always greased it though.

I priced the re-build kit, it was $190. Other prices I got were about $400 for a replacement pump.

I could ask him to order another one if you want.

I have no idea what the NSN part no. means.

I note they also list the individual parts for a rebuild.

I went through this about 6 months ago. In townsville I got the run around on all different types of water pump untill I went to Repco. They were the only people who could get the right one. They did search everywhere in Aust and they said that they had a special warehouse of their own which had 3 or so on shelf.

Thanks to all for your help,I will be heading to the dealer on monday as he say's that there's one on the shelf(8944398521).Will let you guys know if it turns out to be the right one.

The brand was GMB made in Japan.

Went to see the dealer today for a landy style waterpump (8944398521),he tells me that number now superseeds to 8943768551 and he has one in stock.So we pull it out of the box to check,while it is identical the only thing was the grease nipple hole and thread isn't done.The flat spot in the casting is there ready for drilling though.At a price of $373.00 it's a lot dearer than the common truck one.

I had a look at their catalogue in Super Cheap I recall seeing a pump listed for the Isuzu LR and the price was around $190.
