    4L80E Help

I have a 88 RRC with a 350 Vortec Chev in it and a Ashcroft stage 2 HP22 with 24 internals (this transmision is for sale) I am in need of some help and advise on this conversion. Is there anyone on here (or know someone) who has done this. Just wanting to pick your brains about pitfals ect to watch out for

    Cheers

Quite awhile ago there was someone who did this and AFAIR had a problem with clearance between the sump of the transmission and the front driveshaft from the LT230, or more correctly the flange to which the sump bolted.
I recommended to find a Chrysler 727 front driveshaft (3 speed RRC auto) if possible as they were a solid bar or small diameter tube. Probably same problem.
I don't know what the outcome was.

I had a stage 2 22 with 24 bits done by Ashcroft and didn't like it from day 1. In the end I have had a TH400 built to take 1000+hp and 1000nm of torque So when I put my blown 383 stroker in it will take it all day long and love it

Can you give any detail on why you didn't like it?

The C9 behind my tired 350 was built to handle 750hp, but hey....... it's only a 3 speed.

I've been liking it for about 150 thou now.

When in the mud or going up a hill and in need of cleaning my tyres the trans didn't like to hit 2nd and 3rd gear when under load
