Yes... the difference between the 3.0lt SD and 3.0lt TD software/tune is well known.

Between yourself and Jaguar Land Rover is what caused your confusion.

Your original question was will the 3.0lt out of another Land Rover model fit yours, the answer was yes, the answer is still yes.

As everyone has Said, just the long engine is required, which is the same. It's a really disappointing outcome and another reason I bought a L322 V8 diesel... the 3.0 V6 is a cracker of an engine though...😲😫
