    Wood carving masterpiece

Chinese artist Zheng Chunhui created 12.2-meter-long wooden sculpture and entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest continuous wooden carving in the world. His work is inspired by a long Chinese scroll painting.

It took fours years for him to complete this long wooden sculpture, in which he featured hundreds of people, animals, plants and buildings re-created in painstaking detail.

Hmmm, four years............should be dry enough for firewood now.

I guess you know that Tasmania has its own world class example of wood carving. It will be one hundred metres long and three metres high when finished. Obviously it is not a single piece of timber.

The scale and the style are different, but it is an impressive piece of work.
