Yes, I'd love to see a fuel economy control put into V8 supercars.
.Caculate an energy limit for each race factored in over distance.
The teams probably have this info already.
Make them perform better without unlimited fuel usage and pass this technology on.
F1 have achieved this and every team changes their fuelling for every race, making the car as fuel efficient as it can possibly be.
I think you'll find nascar and Top Fuel are regulated to pushrods,,
line up two identical size engines and the OHC will always win.
where it loses is the time it takes to rebuild one--
an acquaintance of mine admits to 28ltrs/100 from his V8 petrol LC200....its a business tow wagon and he laughs it off.Quote:
