If you want the best exhaust note possible listen to a Jaguar F type. Pat
1uz V8 Supra - Dyno Tune 3 - set 9300rpm rev limit - YouTube
If I can make the above sound like it does using a minimum of a/market bits there's no reason on their budget they can't do something about it. That said, it's evolution. The 80's turbos were 4cy 1 to 1.5 litre and sounded beautiful. But they weren't rev limited, thats part of the issue. Open them up and see what they do. But then you have the initiative of longevity. Who would have thought in the 80's that engines would have to last 5 races including qualifying.
ummm...discovery39...V6's DO sound like that'
I don't know what you have listened to, but remember Formula Holden?
currently at speedway is a class called wingless sprints....they use the holden V6....they sound like the F1 V6's.
back in the old folky days when mates had V6 Capri's with sports systems on them....thats what they sounded like as well.
what V6 have you been listening to?
even the 92 series detroit V6 truck engines have that similar sound
get used to it or don't watch it.
With all due respect. The whole point of this thread is/was to highlight the fact that none of us have to get used to it now...
