Hope the get the bottleo back together, sure they will. Jamie from the back will be interesting, and Lowndes only just making top 10 unusual too.

Gonna be a fantastic race, few young guns in their first shootout and a few that you would presume would be there but aren't.

Some of the younger inexperienced guys have got the hang of the new surface, where some of the experienced guys, and big money teams, don't seem to have.

Dane thinks Whincup can still win, definitely a very long shot, even though it is a long race.I bet they pull him in before the normal schedule stop to get out of the traffic

Sure Perkins did it after an altercation with a young Loundes many years ago,but in those days times between the cars were no where near as close as what they are today.

Loundes will be happy he won't have to double stack......

Can't wait for the green light

    Oh,and the shootout this arvo

As it does every year the Mountain is bruising egos and cars, watching the footage yesterday was awesome, and i think it proves that politics aside, the V8 racing is still bloody good.

Garth Tander will not be in the race, also the protest about car #22 has gone through so no top ten shootout for Courtney. What Roland was saying is spot on car #22 should never have been elevated into the top ten in the first place. What an effort by BJR all their cars in the top ten. And a special mention of Craig Lowndes gesture of help in getting Luff out of his car, what a gentlemen he is.He is a fan favourite for many reasons and those sort of things is one of them.

Looking at the vid that Lowndes car also took a massive hit.

Not good before a long race.

Well, as someone who has spent a few years on the sidelines of V8 racing, this is the first time I've sat down to watch for a loooong time. Must say, I'm really pleased I did. Been a great day of racing in all forms.

Good to see a Volvo and Nissan in the shoot out - one of the reasons I started to tune out was the same old, same old of the Holdens and Fords. I don't know a lot of the new drivers, but there seems to be some good ones that aren't too up themselves (yet).

Roll on tomorrow. Looking forward to a great race. I have no real idea of who I actually want to win. Maybe the Volvo..? Does that make me a traitor?
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
