Very true, there is definitely some plus there, but by no means all,...and the cars have to be tuned/adjusted to make the most of whatever the conditions are, they also have to be as fast as possible in quali , TT shootout etc, and then adjusted back to what will be a long distance driveable racecar, not simply a one lap weapon. The engineers have a most important part to play.

Just a bit of nostalgia for the petrol heads among us. It has been 40 years.

Bugger, that's one reason I changed jobs 8 years ago so I didn't have to work weekends or public holidays, I was always working when my family was home. I feel for you.

    Bathurst 2017.

It's been sensational so far. Plenty of cars with great speed but Scott MCL absolutely on fire, shedding tenths every almost every lap. The looks on their faces when the TV crews get hold of them say it all - they are absolutely flying across the top this year. It's, in the true sense of the word, awesome.

i personally think the channel 10 coverage so far is an abomination.

you get 1.5 laps in a 6 lap race then 3 laps of adverts then the last 1.5 laps.

rather work on my landies than tolerate that sort of crap, most infuriating experience

Dave, you are 1000% correct, which is why I got Foxtel, virtually no ads, and on the rare occasion they do come on, part of the tv screen carries on with the telecast, plus of course the foxtel coverage has many other favorable aspects if ya're a "Supercar Tragic" like me.
So, yep, the Ch 10 coverage is defintely not up to it,..annoying, & spoils the enjoyment of good racing, IMHO.
