Well after having Foxtel for years I can't see how the advers are any better, or any fewer - it's one of the main reasons I ditched it.

Yes, the coverage today has driven me nuts - same ads every time, hardly worth watching but I have tried while in between working outside on the deck. If you take all the ads and safety cars out, the 10 minutes of racing in between has been good to watch.

Just heard something "ominous" from the lovely Jess on the Supercars Bathurst telecast,...a throwaway line just before the end of today's program,...."We're going to be running Ch 10's ads tomorrow"????......Don't like the sound of that.

Let the network and advertisers know that you won't purchase their wares. Get enough support maybe things will change.
It was the same last week trying to watch the grand final, an ad after each goal. Galling after watching a full season ad free , only to have the gf on free to air commercial broadcast.

I never purchase anything I see on telly I don't think - they don't seem to advertise the sort of stuff I like to buy like old land rovers and caravans.

Easier just to hit the mute button I find. I'm not going to let it put me off, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's race.

Glad to hear that Gav,..it will be a ripper,...Scotty just did the first .03 lap, & still had some in reserve!....He's on pole, but Davey Reynolds from Erebus did a ripper as well,....and Erebus re showing what a small, dedicated team can still do in "The Great Race".
The only thing that will spoil it for me will be, if it comes, rain,..I like a good clean fast race, but that's just me,...others say it makes the race more interesting.

    Bathurst 2017.

Oh, I should have mentioned who I'll be going for - it is hard to go past Lowndes for me as he's both a Holden man and someone I recognise and like but I have to say I'm probably going to hedge my bets and jump on the Scotty bandwagon as well, I really like that young kid - he comes across as a really level headed all around nice guy - even though I'm not so keen on his choice of ride

Missed the shootout unfortunately - I got a better offer, so hopefully they'll replay some of the highlights in the morning before the race.

If anyone's gonna watch the race, I suggest they tune in early to get as much as what's happening "behind the scenes" as possible, pit lane stuff, talking to crews, engineers, drivers, talking strategy etc etc,....there will be a lot going on.
    From 7.15 on foxtel & 7.30 on 10.
