Coming to a cinema near you.....
That's exactly right.
Sick of all the instant experts on the media, especially ex cricketers with an axe to grind.
Of course none of hem have done anything similar...........and the tooth fairy is real.
Another trial by media.
A few kicks up the backside, some heavy fines, then get on with life again. The politicians do worse and still get to run the country!
I loathe cheating by anyone, anywhere, anytime but there are different levels/effects! Was large scale cheating but all done and dusted now.

It’s a game nothing more.
Playing cricket or any other game is not a real job.
The players are not heroic or worthy of the ridiculous admiration bestowed on them.
In all they are obscenely overpaid children with no real contribution to society that couldn’t be achieved by the same people without the monstrous pay packets and media hype.
So what do you do when children can’t play nice?
You take away the game and send them home to do chores.
Playtimes over IMO for most “iconic” sports.
But while ever someone pays to watch one of the most boring things on earth it will continue.
Some of the behavior is just bullying, no other word for it. Our team is notorious for bad behavior. They say it's a tough spot and their targets should toughen up. Then they arc up if someone gives them a bit back, which they deserve. Warner is a classic example.
It's just bullying. Other sports control bullying and so should cricket.
They could learn from our women cricketers, who are great role models
In its pure format , it's a great game.
A bowler throws(bowls) a half kilo leather dressed ball down a 20mtr pitch attempting to hit the stumps.
At the opposite end to the bowler is another guy whose aim is to defend the stumps from the bowlers intentions and also hit the ball and score some runs.
Simple isn't it?
That simple format has evolved into one of the highest paid , dishonest 'sports' being watched on the planet.
A young cricketer learns every form of cheating and gambling opportunity in the game as he progresses through club cricket and the stakes get higher and higher as he progresses through a career.
I went through club cricket and that was enough.....it ceased to be fun after that.
India , who control international cricket , are paid by multi millionaires of which there are more there than the whole of Australia's population.
Corruption exists at all senior levels, everything to do with the game is tampered with.
Look at the incomes offered to players in the bash and giggle t20 series that is growing stronger all the time.
Why wouldn't a player succumb to the disease that surrounds this sport?
Someone offered someone a great deal of money for this latest episode.
But in this context that is half of the problem.
As Rick pointed out in an earlier post, in an international sporting context and cricket in particular, Australia over the years has made a big point of being holier-than-thou and finger-pointing at other countries wrong-doing, whether it be drug taking, match fixing or whatever and sees itself as the pinnacle of upholding fair play etc.
The rest of the (cricketing) world thinks this is a crock of **** given Australia's rich history of sledging and win at all costs attitude.
So when one of Australia's "can do no wrong" players does something wrong, the rest of the world gleefully puts the boot in!
Cricket fans who still hold on to the belief that Australia is the pinnacle of fair play are obviously gutted at having the dream/myth shattered and ex-players/current administrators want/need to be seen to be outraged to try and show that this is "not the Australian way".
It doesn't matter whether corruption/ball tampering or other dodginess exists at a local level or not, on an international stage Australia has simply set itself up for a fall. The fact they admitted the ball tampering was a pre-meditated decision has just made the fall further.
