Penalty should be consistent with preceding penalties but I have to say I think international cricket is pretty well tarnished by this and all the previous crap. The players need to clean up their act, all of them.

The problem is that Australians in sport have a 'holier than thou, we never cheat but everyone else does' attitude which makes the rest of the sporting world gag.

This episode lays that little furphy to rest......

[edit] and I agree with the above, Smith, Warner et al should all be on a plane home, but guess what, that hasn't happened.

No one likes the over the the top sledging and attitude and now this?
The team and Cricket Australia just don't get it.

Still can't believe this, I mean, jeez,....Steve Smith?....the Aussie Captain, actually planning this, conspiring to actually "cheat".
Must have had brain fade.
Anyway, I can't see how He, or anyone else involved, can be allowed to continue to play cricket for Australia.

As a Test cricket tragic I felt sick in the stomach when I first read this.
It will be a long time before I take the Aust Test Team seriously again or Test cricket for that matter.
I have no doubt the WHOLE team knew what was going on and they are all equally responsible including Lehmann.

Sack the lot.
It may hurt me to see them lose but when they are blatantly cheating and representing this country well, that just aint Cricket

A very sad day for the Baggy Green.
