like several other sports in recent times, it has been priced out of the market and access to the game from here and abroad has been delivered to the mighty $

if your an australian abroad you have little to no way of accessing it live, on video or streaming now foxtel and kayo are in cahoots with 7

you cannot see most of it on the cricket app or 7's apps only on kayo, which is geo locked

the grass roots have been withering for a few years and now it is accelerating at an ever increasing pace as families simply cannot afford to follow it.

like apple, rugby etc etc etc, CA has finally priced themselves out of the market......

yet to read an article that contradicts that view..

    I agree Inc...

Selectors dont want to lose their jobs....must be some $ kickback there somewhere.

Players don't want to lose their jobs.....$million incomes.

Sponsors want their $ on recognised names.

If I could select the team now the only players that remain would be the 4 current bowlers , who also seem to be our 4 best batsmen.

**** the dollars and the fame , there are about 100 young batsmen out there right now who could do a better job than our top 6 and would probably do it for the honour.

They undermined Sheffield Shield, which is the training ground for all our cricket. Then they went nuts over Big Bash, which is just comical, I think. Then they sold One Day cricket to pay TV and locked out more than half their audience. Then they demanded the players win at all costs, leading to the ball tampering scandal.
The cricket chairman and GM have resigned, but nothing has changed.
    Time for the selectors to
admit they were wrong and bring back Smith, Warner and Bancroft I think. Paine is doing a good job as captain but the batting needs real talent and the bowlers are demoralised.
It's a text book case of how to ruin a great cricket tradition in this country through sheer greed.

Yep, very steady performance today steered them to an unlikely draw. 😆
