    Skirmish games

Having previously been an avid player of Paintball Skirmish and with a new level of fitness gained, I’ve recently entered into the pastime of Gel Blaster Skirmish.

What a great way to keep fit, have some fun and de-stress after a week of work.

Anyone else (would only be SA or QLD people at the moment) partaking in this hobby?

    Current Gel Blasters:

Didn’t realise they sell an F88

I assume there is different quality of unit on the market. A mate has issue with an electric motor that I think pushes the gels up, it gets wet and seizes. Could be cheap unit.

Nothing in my collection is standard. As standard these “Toys” are a bit lacklustre.

All my gear has upgraded Gearsets, Pistons, Springs, Barrels and Gearboxes and the obligatory Hop Ups etc.

Building them is almost as much fun as using them.

Awesome fun. Wish WA would be sensible. Not long ago a young tosser took one to school (with a knife) and of course heaps of publicity about needing to ban them. Of course the far more dangerous item hardly got a mention.

    Skirmish games

Bloody cold outside so project time:

The Vector decided to strip its gears the other weekend.

So a bit of surgery was required. Went with Metal gears, higher output motor, alloy barrel with my take on integrating a Hop Up into the suppressor for a cleaner look.

And for Night games using Glow gels, it normally requires a “glow mag” or tracer tip to light them up. Well I did my little custom modification with a $0.05 UV led installed into the feed T-piece and now everything just works without needing add-ons. Charges up the Glow Gel each time.

Dammit. I have a bad habit of taking hobbies to full on levels.

high speed build, Short stroking the gearbox by removing sector gears etc.

    Good for 365fps and 35rps.

I’ve also added a few bits to some blasters and added a few more.
