I nearly got a MINI panel van. Then my wife saw the new one... and that's history

We're thinking of selling it as it is very difficult to go anywhere as a family in it... so that limits it's usefullness somewhat. I've been driving around with my knees next to my ears while the fender is away Not sure if I can bring myself to sell it though.

We have a number of options to go through...

    1. Don't buy anything to replace it and make to with the fender
    2. Buy something cheap for a while and maybe look at the new MINI next year.
    3. Buy a Golf GTI or similar. Not to sure about new, but might be able to pickup a second hand one for not too much more money than the MINI.

    Any ideas?

I have already had a couple of my "Dream attainable cars".

I had an Escort RS200 which was a dream as a kid and the first car I bought.

I had this one a couple of years ago. When i first saw the prototypes I just wanted one.

I have an XR6T at the moment which is a bit boring but is such a sweet car to drive around everyday.

Again abit boring but this is my dream car for the future.

Hmmm... looks like the MINI may be pensioned off... and a VW go into it's place. Not as much fun as the MINI but much more useable for us. I hate driving with my knees around my ears now that we're carrying two kids around

I drove the GTI with DSG today and I want one. Absolutely stunning "automatic". We were blasting up a hill nearby and my mate was listening to the gear changes and thought Steve's nailing this. He looked down and it was in D for "Don't know".

    I'd like one of these:

    Falcon XC Cobra Coupe

Even a replica would keep me happy. And owning a Range Rover, the fuel bill wouldn't shock me either ! LOL

I also love the XC Utilities:

This is a done up / modernised one
Are you kidding? A rusty no value no appeal no performance 70's Falcon with a fancy paint job. They are used in place of garden gnomes in Housing Commission suburbs. If these things had a tongue, they would sit in the middle of the road licking their diff. centre.
