Early 90 Lotus Esprit would be nice. Yes they do handle like there on rails! Amazing the looks you get when it pulls up at the light with 2 teenagers driving it.
A friend of mine that services these tells me you should budget 12-14k a year for repairs for an Esprit Turbo

You won't spend that every year, but every few you'll have a BILL.

Yep the friends of mine that had one had their own mechanic who when they bought it organised $10,000 in parts for them. Car was written of in Sydney in an underground carpark. 100m skidmarks into a concrete pillar which it bounced of and then collected a merc which it moved a whole car space. The guy driving was a bell boy of the Hotel so shouldn't of had access to it. They got a replacement 92 model which when they sold the next owner got a flat in the first week. Car sat for 3 months waiting for tyres to be imported. Great cars but they are a sod to get parts for.
