    wildlife

as we are all into getting out into the scrub, i was wondering if any of you is into wildlife (for want of a better description).I do a lot of photography, with my main bent being reptiles and amphibians, but also take a big interest in birds and mammals. The main reason i do trips is to locate various species that I havent seen before, sort of like twitching with birds but encompassing all animals.I'm quite happy to plan a trip to say, the Cape, with the sole intention of seeing a single species.Although the thrill of the chase can sometimes be a bit anticlimatic as I recently watched some Tree Kangaroos from the comfort of my sisters verandah.
I also keep a moderately large collection of native reptiles and birds(particularly waterfowl,Black swans, Cape Barren Geese etc.) and have done for the past 25 years. My missus is also a wildlife rehabilitator, so we have a constant stream of roos and wallabies at home as well as Birds of prey.To add to that if any of you have any queries as to this sort of stuff, feel free to ask the "What Bird, snake , lizard, spider, was that" type questions.
So, am I the only Tree Hugging Greeny here??

I do wildlife rescue and repair, just finished a marine mammal rescue course, and belong to several "green groups". I usually turn up in my modded Disco, trying to teach them that we are not environmental vandals, that in fact many are just the opposite, we 4x4ers often appreciate nature more than most, we just want access!

I appreciate nature... it's a good place to pour concrete and dispose of used plastic bags.

    Just kidding, really.

I have a degree is Zoology, in case that's relevant to anything.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Well, we could tell it obviously isn't a BA in English Lit.

I love seeing any form of wildlife in it's natural environment, it makes you appreciate what a magnificent country and planet we inhabit.

No need to hide, it takes two hands to hold it.
