This weekend at Toogoolawah (near Esk) Russel and I will be competing in a round of the Qld Long Course Championships,,
in this--

Two heats on Saturday,, 4 or 5 on Sunday,,

There are saying Multicar (4 at a time) starts with 30 seconds between grids,, 7km loop,, maybe 4 mins a lap?,, should make for "interesting" racing

funny you should say that Paul,, because its in part of the Show ground they are going to water the track,,,

you can be way in front,, but if you cop the first run after the water trucks been through---

good way to fill in the car behind though---

well its done and (dare I say it) dusted,
no, we didnt win.
yes we did manage to roll.
yes we WERE leading when the battery caught fire(no I wasnt in the car)

and yes,, I do have a few sore bits,,,,

Its VERY addictive,,

Being in a car that will cop that level of abuse, go that fast, and still protect us when the unforseen(read driver error

) happens, is an almighty buzz!
I still dont know HOW Russell does half the stuff he does,,,

We were pretty lucky on Saturday,, a front nudge bar the only physical damage, though we lost around 15 seconds of lap time

which is MUCH worse

.

Still managed to finish second on total time for the day,, by around 15 seconds---
