Hey sleeps not long now for the big outback trip..I was reading your post again today in the series 3 on your s3.i gota say the thing looks to be in excelant condition..As for a winch i would never go back to a hand winch mine has the PTO winch & is the only reason i brought the car ,i was going to just take the winch off & look for another one but i got bored & started pulling it apart & the rest is history..As for a water tank since your sleepy short you can get a tank that fits behind the front seats fits nice & neat between the fuel tank fillers on each side,Or you could go a bladder tank which you can sling under the car,,OR even better what i'm going to do is at my local tool shop favorite place to be they have tanks that are made for utes traybacks which fit infront or behind the rear wheels & they have taps fitted i have had a look at them to the point of taking one out to the car & holding it up against the car they fit perfectly infront of the rear wheels of a landy...As for a fridge yeah i would recomend one we had a weaco 55ltr was awesome & we wish we never sold it...

Yeah she's in pretty good nic. I've got a winch on my Def and I never use it. (S'pose I'm not extreme enough) - I don't think this trip will be all that difficult so don't expect to be doing any winching. I'll take that hand winch just in case. I've got an old engel that I may take, but to be honest a good esky and plenty of dried/canned food and I'll be fine - then I don't have to worry too much about flat batteries etc. Only really need a fridge to keep the beer cold - I'll just take scotch . Water - probably just take a couple of Jerry Cans - A water tank would be good but not too worried.
I like PTO winches but got the OD fitted so don't really have the option.

Yeah i have that problem at the moment i need overdrive but cause of the winch i cant fit one so i have to go & get one of those highway tranferboxs..But i did read somewhere on here about an overdrive that you can still keep the PTO..

Just got back from watching the movie 'AVATAR 3D" at Glendale, awesome movie, Mrs Aus is feeling sick at the moment because the 3D effect does'nt agree with her. I feel OK, the 3D effect was quite good but I don't think it was as good as the 3D effect we saw at 'Movieworld" a couple of years ago. Anyhow we both enjoyed the movie.
