Thread: Embarrassment

Hey Banj, just got a call from a cousin of mine, he owns a Discovery 3 and the last time I saw him was about 4 years ago before we bought the FL1, at the time we owned a Daewoo Lanos (sorry, looks down and shuffles my feet with embarrassment). He bought the D3 brand new and has used it for it's intended purpose. The last time he visited he showed pictures of him out in the Simpson Desert with the D3 with a sand flag flying from the front.
He has just spent $2000 on a new diff, so I guess he gives it a good workout. Anyrate, he will be visiting me on Wednesday arvo after I finish work at about 2.30pm. Looking forward to it and will get some piccies to post. Of cause you are always welcome to come over and meet him.
Actually, he doesn't know I've developed an interest in LandRovers and when I was talking to him on the phone I didn't mention it.
I don't think he is on the AULRO site, but you never know!!!

I think once you have been bitten by the landy bug you just cant get out of it..

Actualy i would like to do a tenth series landy , A station wagon 5 door.
But i havent owned a SWB yet either..

No, must be away over the holiday period. Can't be that keen to sell though. I really like the Series 3 Shorty at Armidale but budget doesn't allow. I have the youngest daughter's wedding coming up in May and we are flying to Vanuato for the wedding so I am watching the dollars at the moment!!!

I think a Series 11a or 3, would prefer a shorty but when you are dealing with vehicles around 40 years old you take what you get within your budget.

Gees that thing of mine realy looks bad in that pic..Look at how much the damn thing is sittin down at the back you would thing it was loaded with a ton of crap..I realy do need to sort those springs..
