Yeah I know Jason and Karen, but we had to make a difficult descision, throw more money at a money pit or bail out and get a late model small vehicle that is reliable and economical.:) It will be easier for Mrs Aus's elderly mother to get in and out of plus it is a hatchback and there is plenty of room in the back for the shopping as the Freelander was mainly used for.:)
The engine is a 2litre init with 115kw of power and it is VERY quite and goes like the clappers, we took it down the Charlestown bypass on a testrun and it eccelerated up to 100kph in no time at all with no fuss.:)
Hey Fred, it is a nice looking car isn't it!!!:D Very modern!!!
Thanks Stuuu, it is a good looking vehicle, even the car salesmen said it was a nice looking vehicle when he saw it. It won two trophies for us at the Castlehill LandRover Expo for "Best Presented Freelander 1". That's why we persevered with it despite the spiraling repair costs and when the Auto Tranny started playing up again after spending $4500 on it two years ago, I said "that's it, I've had enough"
It is going to be hard next Tuesday when we turn the keys over at the car dealership!!!:(:(
Well use all know Fred has the same as me aswell as OCD, she's not as bad as i was at my worst thank god.
But Freds animals are her world she loves all animals , she now has a feret after years of us saying no we finaly said yes & turns out Lucy (the feret ) is nice & gentle..
Fred was a Wreck lastnite cause we have every second car around here thinks its fine to do 80 to 100 in a 50 zone. The poor cat got ****barreled lastnite by one of the speeding clowns & was in a bad shape so Fred & Karen took her to an allnight vet at Broardmedow..We had to have her put down as she was real bad..
I was outside havin a smoke & a leek & heard it & the cat scream which Fred heard to & went running i was yelling out to her to stop (Fred) while peeing on me leg & foot then i ran to the back door to get Karen to go out there quick & still managed to pee on me leg & foot..
Could'nt believe the cost to just see the vet $165 just to get them to look at her..All up it cost $300 but they sorted a payment thing called VETPAY its a finance thing so thats all good.
But Karen & Fred are very upset about it as she was a realy good cat, We used to say she is a dog in a cats body..
We still have the 2 kittens thankfully they are eating & pooping on there own..
Puss Miss Cat that was the cats names she answered to all, didnt want Karen or Fred to leave her .. She was a funny cat in that way she loved all our company & i could be out in the shed working & whistle & she would come running just like a dog..She just wanted to please us all in her own way..
Like Karen said lastnight how many more kicks are we sposed to take in this ****ed up ****y life of ours..
Its hit Fred very hard as she was always with her as her animals mean so much to her , They are her life.
Jeez mate, sorry to hear about your cat, I remember her when we visited you last weekend!!!Vets are expensive, Mrs Aus spent $700 about a year ago to give our little dog a historectomy., she was badly bleeding and the choice was that or put her down. Mrs Aus, like Fred, is a REAL ANIMAL LOVER. (that's why she married me:p)
Yeah I know you are only joking when you are slagging off at me, but as I said difficult descisions have to be made sometimes. Life's not fair more times than not so you have to roll with the punches, get up and have another go!!!:)
Hey, how would a "Landytown" sticker go on the back of the Kia!!!!:o:twisted::p:wasntme:
Decisions have to be made Jim, pity you had to:( and your right now you will have more money for a series:arms::arms::arms::D:D
