Once had a kombi clutch collapse on the side of the road at Hexham. Pulled out the clutch right there, withsemis, and cars wizzing past, Hitched into a Newcastle dealer, bought a new Clutch, and hitched back and put it in. Just have pulled out a Disco 1 R380 gear box. Will never do one of those on the side of the road. totally different to a Kombi.

Jason, As far as the mention of moving. It was on TV some time back that one town was givinghomes for a dollar, or something like that, on condition you moved to that town.

They were trying to prevent it from becoming a Ghost town.

Have heard of other incredably cheap towns as well.

Would be better than paying rent I think.

The Defender gearbox would have been interesting out in the middle of Arnhem Land. :eek:

and there was a poster around Rainbow bay of someone who was looking for a lost ferret which had got off its lead, so do tell Fred to be careful.

Well, today is the day. At 3pm we will be at the new car dealer in Cardiff to turn over the keys for the Freelander:( and pick up the keys for the new car!!:DI will be then officially "LandRoverless""!!!!!!
