Jason and Karen,
I commend both of you for your courage and openess in discussing what you both have throughout this thread. I think there is no need for embarrassment, I wish I could be just half as strong and resilient as both of you sound as though you are.
In regards to the background info you posted a couple of days ago Karen, I admire the strength it must have taken for you to keep sticking around for Jason, you sound like 2 amazing people who definitely seem great for each other. I can understand a little what it would feel like to have been through all that you both endured, as my cousin (same age as me) went through a very violent upbringing, fueled with alcohol, drugs and sex, and in many ways not too disimilar to what you described, although I recognise every case is individual, and Jason's certainly sounds a bit worse.
At the end of the day, you are both amazing people, who have done a fine job of making a great life together, and I can only wish both of you the best of luck in continuining to make progress together, and I would like to thank you both, you've certainly inspired me as to what the stregth and power of humanity can be.
Seano
PS I'm a young-un Jason, 22. And a Ranga.
