What is everyone got planned for news years?
Being old boring farts, we usually don't do much and this year the roster has me working to 10.30pm, doesn't bother me though!!!:D
:arms: Well done Tony :arms::arms:
New years....nothing I have to get up at 4.30am to go to work to sell muffins to the drunks:(;)
Mrs hh:angel:
I have worked the last 2 news years. It isnt much fun but as you said the money is worth it.
If you are a casual, yes, it is definitely worth it. Not so much for a permanent and I use this example. Say you work as a permanent on a public holiday at double time, sounds good but in fact you are already being paid for the day so you are in fact working for a single rate. I'd rather have the day off.
Casual rate is normally higher than permanent rate and you are not paid for the public holiday so at double time you are laughing!!!:D I might add, I volunteer for Sunday shifts at double time, because as a permanent I am not paid for Sundays, anyway, or Saturdays at time and three quarter.
We normally throw a party but the wife's got to work new year's day, so nothing planned this year :(
I've got "Ausfree's Disease" just laid 28 metres of laminate flooring in spare bedroom yesterday :D Going to put skirting boards on today so no joy riding in land rovers ;)
Looks good Jerry :)
Looks OK Jerry. It's not hard to lay. Just make sure everything is straight. I didn't take the skirting boards off (too lazy), I laid the planks up to the skirting boards and then nailed a piece of 1/2inch quad over the planks and up to the skirting boards.:D Covers a multitude of sins!:angel:
P.s. You didn't have to dig up old tiles did you? That was a bugga of a job. I have two trailor loads of the stuff out in the yard that I have to get rid of.
