Thread: Embarrassment

Ah well managed to go out for a little while today.went to get the pamphlets got there gate locked thats ok had the combo for the lock but someone had locked the big shed ah well get them on monday..So i just went down to cardiff & home again better than not going out at all i spose..
Fatty called in at the realestate today & seen the head guy of the rental department & he said he would find us a place as we have been with them for about 15 years he said he would look after us,said they have a unit coming up that mite suit us...Not sure if the other members of the unit block would take to kindly to me building stuff in the shed though..But he said if its no good he would still find us something.he said he would personly look for us .
Just got a phone call from the high school cody is light headed so fatty's gone to get him..
Hope its not his passing out spells he has had before as i mentioned on here somewhere before,he kept passing out & looked dead i nearly started CPR on the last one he had ..
He says hes been playing leauge at school & i hope that doesnt have antthing to do with it as he just signed up for footy at glendale..
If its not one thing it another..
Hoping i mite be able to get out over the weekend will just have to wait & see..

fatty said i shouldnt push to hard as i dont want to go backwards more than i have gone forwards .as that has happened before i went 2 steps forward & about 10 steps back..

Hope cody is ok. Don't jump to conclusions though. It might be something as simple as "not eating well" or "not playing enough AFL' (sorry 'nother mexican joke).
As I said before, I enjoying reading your thread - don't really know why, but you and Fatty need to know we are "listening". Even if we don't know the solution(s) either.
Good to see you getting out and about - even if it is only a little trip.
Sounds to me like it is 10 steps forward and 2 back.
Baby steps mate - you will learn to find a place in your mind where things are balanced. Good vs Bad, Up vs. Down, Happy vs. Sad. Land Rover vs. Crapota (OK, drop that last one!!!)

Hi everyone its been a while since i last posted & i have to say again a big thankyou to everyone of you for your surport towards us it is a great help to us both even for me as jason now has some where & someone else to chat with..
I am actualy going out for a lunchon on wednesday with a lady from the school, her kids are in cody's classes & i know her from primary school aswell so i'm realy looking forward to it as i havent been asked to come along for years..
With every body talking to jason it is making a differance he tries to make an effort to go out now even though they are baby steps & its going to be a long process you are all making headway with him, he is still embarassed at times & worried what to say to people he feels he should be trying more to go out but i keep telling him to not worry & just do what he can not over do it or he will end up going down hill & that hill will be so hard to get back up, & i am enjoying a little bit of freedom from the worrying of him because he will sit on the computer & chat with you & i can go out without the worry of him being at home alone & panicing..It is a great relief to have all be it very little it does help me & i'm so grateful to you all ..
Please bare with him as he is now learning to have conversations with people & comunicate.We only ever got to talk to older people when he was younger as we had to go everwhere his parents went ,not with people our own age & now we have a wide range of ages to talk with...
He gets quite excited when someone posts or talks to him here & i havent seen that in him since for i cant remember when..
He has at times asked me what should i say to everyone ,its like he said before its a learning curve for him & he loves this site & he has been trying to interact in other posts & threads..he's trying hard it's hard as he has never opened up so much before we have kept this to ourselves for so long it just got easy .....
He is learning everyones names & their personalities for the first time in a long while,& he is relaxed more & i am very pleased to hear that you all enjoy reading this thread & happy to chat to jason & me.... karen

thanks paul cody seems fine slept well just heat an not eating his lunch i think high school is to exciting to worry about eating to busy playing league or soccer (not aerial ping pong lol)

Karen, I thought when I invited Jason, to go with me up to Maitland it might have been a big ask, but then again I invited him because he would have been in a Landy (even though he reckons there not proper ones) and we could have discussed Landies. However, I expected him to say no, but that is good he is making some progress. Even though I have also been through the mill in my life, getting out and about doesn't worry me, but everybody is different. I still have flashbacks though. Any way my thoughts are with you and Jason. Cheers

Thankyou ausfree ,atleast jason said no before he would just makeup some excuse as to why he couldnt go sleepy asked him to go on the outback trip & he **** & paniced as soon as he read it. Also the guy from singleton we dont know how to say his name (sorry), asked him us if we wanted to go to camping at lake st clair you should of seen him then nearly in cold sweats ..that in itself is a huge step for him & i know when he read it he paniced & didnt know what to say or do..but he told the truth..& i know in myself he will be able to do things in time..

You know what Fatty and Jason, like ausfree, I never expected you guys to say yes. And it certainly doesn't offend me if you say no. Maybe one day.

Sometimes Jason, you can just imagine going somewhere (what do those hippies call it?) "transcendental meditation". My daughter and I used to do it. Close you eyes and imagine - you can "travel" anywhere!....if it gets a bit scary all you have to do is open your eyes.
(Kinda the opposite to 4wding, cause then I close my eyes when it gets scary!)

YEP i glued all that foam matting in mine & i still cant hear the radio..

I can remember going camping heaps up at Barrington tops as a kid we use to stay at white rock camping area it had a natural water slid in the rock loved it .untill the old man ha that one to many anyway...
I would love a wagon or a SWB for my next project....
