Hi Tim, just hoping you can refresh my memory here - I've just hooked the DT90 up after an extended break from it being disconnected and I can't remember how the LED flashes work. All I have at the moment is a green flash every 2 seconds - can't remember is anything else is supposed to happen...

Looked everywhere on here, and the instructions don't mention the LED flashing sequences that I could see - could be just me though.

    Cheers - Gav.

I'm also keen to know the meaning of the LED flashes. Mine's green then a series of red flashes.

Hi Folks and sorry Gav I missed your request.

I have not finished the new full installation instructions for the DT90 as yet.

But Here are the LED operations for the SC80 MKII but they are similar to the DT90 LED operations.

All good - thanks Tim, it hasn't mattered a lot as I stole the battery out of it for something else.

    Thanks Tim for the explanation.

I'm getting two red flashes. That's after an over night charge (float) on the cranking battery and two 5 min drives. Does that mean the cranking battery is stuffed? I have a new yellow top six battery as recommended by Tim.

Tim re your emailed instructions, yes they need some work as you suggested. I found them frustrating as often reference to left should have been right, and similar descriptions were given to different things. However I found your instructions on AULRO much more useful even though not current. Partly because those instructions had some photos.

Does anyone know the meaning of constant quick red flashes at 1/2 second intervals on the Traxide kit? ie no green flashes and not quick red flashes at 2 second intervals.

The batteries are 12.4 v on the cranking battery and 12.9 on optima aux.

Hi rar110, have you started the motor and if so, did the LED go to a solid GREEN?

Hi again, and the constant fast flashing RED LED usually means there is no auxiliary battery, or the auxiliary battery is below 7.0v.

This is not the case in your situation, so if you get a chance, could you carryout a couple of tests please.

TEST 1. Could you again measure the voltage of the auxiliary battery.

TEST 2. Then could you measure the voltage between the auxiliary battery?s positive ( + ) terminal and an earth point in the RR, not the auxiliary battery?s negative ( - ) terminal.

TEST 3. Next, measure the voltage between the auxiliary battery?s negative ( - ) terminal and an earth point in the RR.

You should get the same voltage reading in TESTS 1 & 2.

In TEST 3, the reading should be 0.0v

If the above tests work out OK could you follow up with the next step.

Could you disconnect the negative terminal of the AUXILIARY battery and separate the wires and cables, so the earth ( Brown wire ) from the DT90 is isolated for about a minute, then reconnect everything again and start your motor.

A very large spike can cause the isolator to turn off, but usually it resets when you start the motor.

Sorry for the mess around but we will get it sorted.

    Regards, Tim.

    Gday Tim
    I ran through the above. Tests 1 & 2 were same v. Test 3 was 0v.

LED initially lit up solid green after start up. Shut down motor. Now no light.
