The drawing on the left shows the stub shaft with integral drive flange (item 9). The drawing on the right shows the CV joint (item 5).
Although not visible in these drawings, the outer "bell" of the CV has a female spline, instead of the integral stub shaft like used in an AEU2522. The stub shaft (item 9) engages with this female spline.
IIRC, apart from the removable stub shaft, the early RRC CV's are very close to the same size as the AEU2522, i.e. the "star", "balls", "cage", & "bell".
Many converted from this early RRC CV to the 110 CV, AEU2522, when fitting stronger aftermarket half shafts (e.g. Maxi-Drive) because of the stronger stub shaft.
What is being asked for is a stronger 300M/4340 CV of this style, with a 24 (or 23) spline removable stub shaft from 4340 or 300M.
