Hoping to pick the second batch up from the powder coaters tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing them on the front of Defenders, and one on my own County too :D

If anyone with these new bars fitted has any side on (profile) shots of the bar fitted, would you be able to post them :D please.
I'll most likely extend the next batch of bars forward a little to allow the fittment of a wider range of winches. Most common model winches will bolt straight in, but some have a wider body which means the grille would need to be cut, such as I did with mine (see below). My Warn winch is about 25 years old so it has a bigger diameter body than most of the recent models.
Here's a couple of side pics................

I finally got some time to fit my own bar to my County.............

While I'm at it, I thought I'd try some Truck Lite LED headlights to see how good they are. Also, I've fitted 10w cornering lights which are great for more side vision in the bush, and LED driving lights. It's been hard to find any LED driving lights with a decent long distance spot beam, these ones are supposed to have a 8-10 degree beam pattern so I'm hoping they perform better than others I've tried.
I haven't had a chance to try the driving lights or Truck Lites yet as I've had winch wiring hanging everywhere.

Looks fantastic Murray!
I'm hazarding a guess - and may be way off the mark - that the poster asking may have a slight interest in the profile because - it looks great! Or has heard of the ADR changes to forward protruding top bars...
If the later is the case, and considering the sleek design- I wonder what this bar would be subject to!?
my thoughts are if the lights were not fitted than the bar overall slopes back i.e. the most forward part is the cradle and the hoop/higher part is behind or backwards.....dunno if that makes sense. well that is my reasoning if questioned
fit big spot lights to nearly any bar they protrude forward.
You won the prize Tombie, I have been waiting to see some profile shots for that exact reason. With all the **** going on at the moment I think it's something I need to think about.
It does look great Murray, just not real sure about the forward rake of the hoop. I guess the only way to get it to rake back would be for the horizontal bars to meet the winch cradle at the front not the rear, maybe! Which would get the bottom of the hoop further forward.
I definitely don't want an insurance claim (if needed, hopefully not) knocked back because they claim the bar doesn't comply, its such a bloody minefield and not black and white.
Its all so confusing.................
Those headlights look good, let us know how them and the spotties go.
Not sure if this will help or confuse matters, but here's a pic of the mods I got Murray to do to the bar that I've fitted to my Deefer.
Basically, just as Cracka suggested, I asked him to move the main horizontal bars further forward (so that it didn't look like the winch cradle was poking so far out). We settled on 60mm, but this would also put the top of the main hoop forward by 60mm, potentially in front of the winch cradle, so I asked him to make the hoop a lot more vertical and the top is now slightly behind the front of the winch cradle.
The main tubes are swept back, so at each end they are only 30mm further forward than the bar that Murray has on his own County.
Not sure whether it is any more or less legal than Murray's original design, but the hoop is almost vertical and I like it :D
