Justin, does the ECU start to reduce fuel at that point?

No ecu interaction; only driver input ...:-P .

Colin,
Does the SwissChip tuning boxes come with the ability to select different map profiles and adjust up and down the amount of additional fuel being injected like the DTUK tuning boxes?
David
Check your insurance carefully, this is a specific exclusion with RACQ
Sorry guys for the late reply,
Firstly regards, EGT
We do not increase any EGT limits. The manufacturer ECU from the engine still control the EGT. Therefore, if the temperature is getting too high, the ECU will decrease power automatically.
"The D4 has a hard drive that is constantly recording, much like an aircraft black box, we are warned of this in the drivers handbook."
->
Yes, right. it's not just on Land rover, most of European maker has ECU a "black Box" will record over revs, max consistent speed, average RPM, etc....
But without error code there are no logs that you worry about, after our chip all original features of the engine will remain, and are not affected.
"in high ambient at slow road speeds (climbing hills) it is quite easy to approach high (650 to 700 C) upstream temps"
->
True, if the car is in slow speed, the temps will increase very fast. But this also happen without chip. Again, if the temps are too high, the ECU will decrease power or if it is too hot, it will automatically move into limp-mode.
Thank you guys for questions and interests in Swisschip, we appreciate all of them. For quicker replies, please email us at support@swisschip.com.au or simply call us :) cheers!:)
Thanks for replying - just to clarify. With the Swisschip tuning box can the user adjust the settings or is it a pre-programmed set up (i.e no user adjustable settings). What I am specifically interested in is if the user can trim or optimise the set up to fine tune the performance to their liking.
